Pandora’s Box

The Pandora’s Box Mod is a very interesting and possibly very destructive add-on to the game. It adds a simple to make box but what’s contained inside is anything but simple… usually.

All you need to do is place the box and right click to open it. Then just wait and see what happens.

It has a seemingly endless list of randomly generated outcomes that it generates. It can be anything from odd structures and mobs:

towering pillars:

or whatever you want to call this:

I wouldn’t recommend using this mod on any saves you don’t already have a backup for or don’t want possibly destroyed. There’s no telling what will come out of the box. Sometimes it will be good as with the above generating lots of cookies and cakes. Or it could spawn something unholy that embeds itself as far down as bedrock.

It really is a fun mod if you enjoy senseless and random events. It would definitely make a great “treasure” to find at the end of a maze or temple.

    • You get 1.8 forge, then you put the mod file in the minecraft “mods” folder, go there by pressing windows key and r at the same time , then type “%appdata% , then go to the minecraft folder.

  3. That was beautiful…

I decided to test Pandora’s Box for the first time. Suddenly, in the distance, i spotted a village. I thought, “What better place to test this box’s capabilities?”

I ventured to the center of town, hailed my presence to the townsfolk, and told them to beware the horrors of Pandora’s Box. In the center of town I placed and opened the box. And what happened?

It first created a giant vat of lava in the middle of the town, setting the villagers, animals, and houses on fire. On the periphery, all blocks turned into Diorite and Redstone. Finally, it began raining anvils.

    This… Was devilishly cruel.

    *two thumbs up*

  4. i cannot explain what happened in words, but i will try. *ahem*. It summoned giant sandstone trees with dirt leaves, and proceeded to turn some of them into netherrack and glowstone, and to summon nether mobs. 5 stars out of 4

  5. Nice way to spice your world up! Would fit in as randomly generated in jungle temples and stuff like that.
